Welcome to Snooccars Wildlife Center

At Snooccars Wildlife Center, our mission is simple yet vital: to rescue, rehabilitate, and safely return orphaned, sick, and injured Colorado wildlife back to their natural habitats. Operating as a dedicated Colorado non-profit corporation, we bridge the gap between distressed wildlife and a caring public, providing the specialized medical attention and round-the-clock care that these vulnerable animals need to survive.

Beyond medical rehabilitation, we believe that true conservation starts with community. We are deeply committed to fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and nature. Through public education and our passionate volunteer programs, we empower our neighbors to peacefully co-exist with the wildlife right in their own backyards.

Our Licensing & Care

Snooccars is officially licensed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) to provide care for a wide range of native Colorado mammals. We accept animals of all ages—from newborns just a few days old requiring intensive bottle-feedings to fully grown adults recovering from injury.

Our specialized facility is permitted to rehabilitate:

• Raccoons

• Beavers

• Foxes

• Porcupines

• Marmots

• Squirrels & Chipmunks (including Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrels)

• Rabbits

Where Our Rescues Come From

We primarily serve the front range and surrounding communities, receiving patients from Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld counties.

Wildlife finds its way to our doors from a variety of compassionate sources, including:

• Concerned members of the general public

• Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers

• Local animal control and humane societies

• Pest control and wildlife rescue operators

It Takes a Village

As a smaller, hands-on rescue center, we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during peak "baby season" to ensure our wildlife orphans never go hungry. True wildlife rehabilitation requires immense resources; every single animal demands hours of direct daily care, specialized diets, medical supplies, and enclosure maintenance, often costing over $500 per animal to successfully rehabilitate for release.

Snooccars relies entirely on the generosity of our community, animal lovers, and volunteers to keep our doors open. Whether you choose to volunteer your time, sponsor an animal, or donate critical goods and funding, you are directly giving Colorado's wild animals a second chance at life.
